Eye pencils lakme. Eye Filmmuseum offers guided tours in Dutch Sign Language (NGT) through the permanent exhibition. Eye highlights the American avant-garde cinema in the 1960s. Visitors can also watch videos in NGT on their smartphone by scanning QR codes at the various parts of the exhibition, such as the zoetrope, the magic lantern, the Mitchell camera and the green screen. The exhibition, along with an extensive film programme, features screenings of both iconic and lesser-known works. Eye is responsible for the Netherlands’ film collection: storing this in a sustainable way, making it accessible, providing context, and keeping it alive.
