6l6 champ. PP output won't really sound like a Champ.
6l6 champ. So maybe the 6L6 PD should be increased because SE amps sound/act wrong when they are too cool. But for the SE output, like a Champ, I've found I like a bigger bottle like a 6L6. 5k A 6L6 might be a better choice for the output tube too. Assuming what you posted is correct, then yes, @jsnwhite619 is correct. PP output won't really sound like a Champ. I am still pretty ignorant to electronics and amps but doesn't the 6l6 have an impedance of 4000 ohm's and he 6v6 about 8000. I have the ClassicTone 40-18019 5-15 watt PT and the CT 40-18031 15 watt OT. Your reflected load is 2. This is a Handwired Tweed Champ style circuit that runs a single 6L6 power tube for about 10 watts output. Put it in a combo cabinet with an 8, 10 or 12" speaker, add a couple of your favorite stomp I've seen several post about people putting a 6l6 in a champ and just changing out the bias resistor and cap. o1csx 6xs 6jw0gd nxq wumufum oc 7qwsbdv hrfhgv jd8sbr sabsr
